About the Event
We are hosting two Virtual Recruitment Open Days on the following dates:
Session 1 Thursday 26th June | 12:30pm – 1:30pm
Session 2 Thursday 26th June | 7:00pm – 8:00pm

Whether you’re new to care or have previous experience, this session will help you explore whether a Support Worker role could be right for you.
About the Role
As a Support Worker at Maesteilo Mansion and Cottages, you’ll support adults with learning disabilities and additional needs to live meaningful, fulfilled lives in a residential setting. The role is varied, hands‑on, and centred around promoting independence, dignity and choice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing day‑to‑day practical and emotional support
- Supporting individuals with personal care in a respectful, person‑centred way
- Encouraging and enabling independence and life skills
- Supporting people to access community activities, appointments and social opportunities
- Promoting health, wellbeing and positive outcomes
- Working closely with colleagues, families and professionals
- Maintaining accurate records and care documentation
- Supporting individuals whose needs may include complex or challenging behaviours, using positive and proactive approaches
Full training and ongoing development are provided, so previous experience is helpful but not essential.
