We
are looking for a Children's Care Waking Night Team Leader to join our
team who has a passion for providing a high standard of support that enables
young people to learn and develop through education and positive life
experiences.
The
role
You
will provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower our young
people to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s
individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life
they wish, in line with their individual support plans, you will need to be
able to complete a range of records and documents.
Promote
the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of
the people supported and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
Facilitating
social, educational and play or recreational activities of their choice.
Supporting them to maintain contact with families or significant others is a
key priority.
The
role requires you to undertake all aspects of day to day household tasks such
as cleaning, cooking and shopping. Our young people also need to be supported
to manage their personal care and hygiene.
Lead
the waking night teams and manage the night hours / care of the children and
home.
Train
as medication officer, complete supervisions, appraisals and attend the home
team meetings / training during day hours as required.

For
Support Worker positions although an understanding of the role is desirable, it
is not essential as training will be provided. Ideally, you will:
- Hold
or be willing to work towards a Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or
equivalent)
- Have
previous experience supporting children and young people with learning
disabilities
- You
will need to be adaptable and flexible with excellent communication skills and
able to work as part of the team
